Surfacing lumber to a specific thickness requires a machine that has plenty of power to remove a lot of material from oversized lumber, especially if the boards are wide and hardwood. TH530A with spiral head cutters has proven that it can handle these conditions and reduce smooth surfaces that required little sanding before finishing.
