Applications & Uses

INOX-mx6 is a smooth light tan grease made with polyalphaolefins and a special bentone thickener. It contains additives to protect against corrosion and oxidation.

INOX-mx6 grease is recommended for all bearings and general lubrication and where processing temperatures go well below zero, especially in the refrigerated and frozen foods and beverage industries.

INOX-mx6 grease has a temperature range of -30 °C to an extremely high temperature.

P T F E – Polytetrafluoroethylene is a premium grade anti-friction medium which gives increased lubrication to bearings, bushes, shafts, gears, chains, splines, couplings, winches, cables, universals, CV & ball joints.

INOX-mx6 is highly suitable for all BEARINGS, BUSHES, CHAINS, HINGES, SPROCKETS, SLIDES, SPLINES & COUPLINGS, UNIVERSALS AND BALL JOINTS used in all Food processing Machinery, Beverage Filling Lines, Food Conveyor Lines, Food Packaging Equipment, Ovens (outside oven only), Freezers and Cold Rooms.

INOX is safe on rubber, and is ideally suitable for all plumbing O-rings & seals, Food machinery O-rings & seals, Pneumatic control valve O-rings & seals, Diving gear O-rings & seals, anywhere rubber or synthetic O-rings and seals are used.

INOX-mx6 also has a wide spread application outside of the food and beverage industry. Because of it’s Extreme Pressure lubricating ability and NO MELT temperature range, INOX-mx6 is highly suitable for all bearings, bushes, universals, etc used in Bitumen Transporting and Laying Machinery, Foundries, Paint Baking Ovens and all other high temperature applications. INOX-mx6 is also highly suitable for Truck, Trailer and all Farm Machinery wheel bearings, universals & ball joints, splines & couplings, Tierod Ends, Winches and Trailer Couplings.

NB. INOX-mx6 is a premium grade clay based Extreme Pressure grease. Using it with a non-clay based grease can seriously affect its performance. Before using INOX-mx6 grease, it is advisable to remove any other non-clay based greases by flushing or pushing out the old grease with INOX-mx6 in a grease gun.

WHAT DOES NSF APPROVED MEAN?

The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) is an independent, non-profit making organisation. The NSF H1 standard is globally accepted as confirming the food grade lubricant is safe for use in applications where incidental food contact may occur.

H1 – Acceptable for use where there is incidental food contact.
H2 – Acceptable for use where there is no possibility of food contact.
H3 – Acceptable for use as a soluble oil
HT1 – Acceptable for use as a heat transfer fluid where this is possibility of incidental food contact
3H – Acceptable for use as a release agent on hard surface in direct contact with meat and poultry

CAN I MIX MX6 WITH MY EXISTING GREASE?

MX6 is a premium grade clay based Extreme Pressure grease. Using it with a non-clay based grease can seriously affect it’s performance. Before using INOX-mx6 grease, it is advisable to remove any other non-clay based greases by flushing or pushing out the old grease with INOX-mx6 in a grease gun.

WHAT DOES NO MELTING POINT MEAN?

INOX MX6 is a clay based grease which has no melting point. A grease’s melting point is the temperature at which the grease will melt and no longer sticks to surfaces. MX6 will always adhere to a surface no matter how hot it gets.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE THAT INOX IS EFFECTIVE TO?

INOX MX6 will operate non stop to 250 ºC all day with short bursts up to 300 ºC without breaking down.
