Description

  • 3/8" x 16 STI UNC Bottoming HSS Tap
  • Unified National Coarse (UNC)
  • HSS Bottoming Lead 3B Tolerance Screw Thread Insert (STI) Tap.
  • PowerCoil wire thread inserts are installed into oversize tapped holes.
  • Only PowerCoil STI (Screw Thread Insert) Taps are suitable for use with PowerCoil Wire Thread Inserts.
  • STI Taps have a larger diameter, than standard taps, but the same pitch to accommodate the wire thread insert.
  • Once the insert is installed in the tapped hole it creates the desired internal thread tolerance for the installed bolt or stud.
