This basic machine design has been available for many years and is familiar to the market. The machine casings are die cast from heavy aluminium and is fitted with three speeds including a low 950 rpm for large diameter hand held coring in soft materials such as brick and limestone while still providing 2400 rpm for smaller diameters needed in chemical anchor and glass fence balustrading.

• This machine may be hand held or rig mounted for drilling larger diameter concrete cores.
• *Reconstituted limestone blocks are rated as concrete thus max. diameter is 90mm. See AGCDM160 for hand held fencing work.
• When choosing a core drill machine there are two main factors to consider, firstly what are the largest diameter holes typically required and is hand held drilling a requirement?
• Diamond core drill machines are rated for the largest core they can cut either as hand held or mounted on a core drill stand (rig).
• After this decision is made then choosing a machine is clear and straight forward.
• Drilling larger diameters in concrete requires a core drill stand but if only drilling in brick or soft materials then hand held is acceptable.
