External overload protection is a safety feature designed to protect the motor and electrical components of a dust collector from overheating or overloading. Here's how it works:

Monitors Current Flow: It detects if the motor is drawing too much current, which can happen due to blockages, improper use, or extended operation under heavy load.

Cuts Off Power: If an overload is detected, the protection system automatically interrupts the power supply to prevent damage to the motor and reduce the risk of electrical fires.

Manual Reset: After the issue is resolved (e.g., clearing a blockage or addressing a mechanical fault), the user must manually reset the system to restart the dust collector. This prevents the motor from repeatedly trying to start under unsafe conditions.
This feature helps extend the lifespan of the machine and enhances user safety by mitigating potential hazards caused by electrical overloads.
